  What is CQC?

CQC is the China Quality Certification Center, which is approved by the Commission for Public Sector Reform of the CPC Central Committee, established by the State Administration for Market Regulation and entrusted to the administration of the CNCA.

  What is CQC mark Certification?

CQC mark certification is one of the voluntary product certification services carried out by China Quality Certification Center, by adding the CQC mark to show that the product meets the relevant quality, safety, performance, electromagnetic compatibility and other certification requirements, the certification scope involves mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, electrical products, electronic products, textiles, building materials and other 500 kinds of products. CQC mark certification focuses on safety, electromagnetic compatibility, performance, hazardous substance limit (RoHS) and other indicators that directly reflect product quality and affect consumer personal and property safety, aimed at safeguarding consumer interests, promoting the improvement of product quality, and enhancing the international competitiveness of domestic enterprises.

  CQC product certification process  

The certification process of CQC product certification can be divided into four stages: application (intention application, formal application) > Type test > production plant quality system inspection > Certification certificate and certification mark issuance and management.

1. Application 

1) The applicant submits an application of intention to the product certification Department of the certification center, which shall include the following:

2) Applicant information, manufacturer information, such as name, address, contact person, contact information, etc.;

3) Production plant information (including quality system status and system certification, etc.);

4) Product name, model, specification, trademark, etc.;

In addition, it is also necessary to provide the relevant information of the product, such as: product manual, maintenance manual, product assembly drawing, working (electrical) schematic diagram, circuit diagram, component configuration diagram, product safety performance inspection report, safety critical parts list, etc.

2. Type test 

1) The type test shall be conducted according to the standards specified in the CQC product certification contract.

2) In principle, the type test shall be sent to the designated CQC subcontracting laboratory by the applicant. However, for large, inconvenient goods to transport, install and debug, the applicant may apply for on-site testing by other nearby testing institutions or factories approved by CCIBLAC or CNACL.

3) For series products or variant products of basic type products that have been applied for and passed the type test, only the relevant items that are different from the basic type are tested.

4) In the process of testing, if additional testing items are added, the relevant laboratory should notify the CQC product certification Department, and the CQC product certification Department will notify the applicant to pay the testing fee before testing.

5) Test results

6) After sample inspection, the CQC subcontracting laboratory sends a "Sample collection Notice" to the applicant who needs to collect the sample. The applicant shall go through the sample collection procedures at the designated place within one month after receiving the "sample collection notice". If the sample is not collected within the time limit, the sample of the overseas manufacturer shall be submitted to the Chinese Customs for processing, and the sample of the domestic manufacturer shall be processed by the subcontracted laboratory.

7) If the sample fails to pass the test, the CQC product Certification Department will send the applicant a "sample inspection failure Notice" and explain the items and test results that the sample does not meet the standard, or send the "sample supplementary inspection Notice" and notify the applicant to pay the supplementary inspection fees. The applicant may apply again for the products that receive the "sample inspection failure notice".
