What are the requirements of BSCI factory inspection?


I. Responsibilities of management:

1. Inform managers and suppliers of the content of the BSCI Code of Conduct.

2. Establish a responsibility mechanism within the company organization to deal with all issues concerning the BSCI Code of conduct.

3. Appoint one or more managers responsible for implementing the BSCI Code of Conduct.

4. Monitor the company's compliance with the BSCI Code of Conduct and implement necessary changes within the company premises.

2. Employee awareness:

1. Declare to employees that it supports the principles of the BSCI Code of Conduct, explain and teach to its employees and employees of its subcontractors about the BSCI Code of Conduct. Companies must fully translate the BSCI Code of Conduct into the appropriate local language and post it in a prominent location at their factories and other business premises. The BSCI Code of Conduct and relevant information must be presented orally to employees in a language they can understand.

2. Regularly train employees on workplace safety and the impact of their activities on people and the environment.

3. Keep records:

1. Keep the names, ages, hours worked and salaries of all employees and make these records readily available upon request by the BSCI auditor.

The supplier will agree with the auditor on a time frame for the implementation of the corrective action, which shall not exceed 12 months. If a supplier previously excluded for non-compliance later demonstrates that it can fully comply with the BSCI Code of Conduct, the previous commercial relationship may in principle be reinstated.
